Big helpings of home-made everything are served, but you are just as welcome if all you want is a coffee or a bowl of fresh soup. The Plough Favourites are written on a prominent chalkboard. Another board details sandwiches which are doorstep thick and a selection of interesting 'Ploughmans' salads. Daily specials feature seasonally changing dishes and a selection of home made desserts.
Fresh meat comes from Andertons and Carefoots of Longridge and Honeywell at Eaves. Also from Longridge comes bread from The Corner Bakery and fruit and vegetables from Ribble Farm. Wellocks of Colne bring fruit and vegetables as well, Neve's from Fleetwood bring fish caught from their own boats and the famous Goosnargh ducks come from the next village. Cheeses are supplied by Leagram Organic Dairy at Chipping and Sandhams near Garstang. |
